I am so sorry --- are you going to Dr. Deutsch?
He was not open today so the emergency line told us to go to the ER..it's on the south service Rd of the LIE. I plan on calling him tomorrow, first thing.
i was too nervous to take Max home. He didn't look good.

I am glad your kitty is home. Try even smushing the pills in cream cheese. That always worked for me.

Can you hide the pills in between a slice of american cheese folded? I do this all the time with my dog and it works

ugh-he threw up his lunch..tried to get him to take a pill..didn't want it.
He's so wobbly...like he's drunk. Tomorrow the blood tests should be back and then the vet will come up with a game plan.
I will certainly be asking you guys for more help with this. I'm so worried about my boy.

So glad he's home!! Please keep us updated! It is the worst when something happens to a pet. I swear by Dr. Strom at Hilton Animal Hospital if you are in need of a second opinion.
Charlie won't take his medecine in his food either. We just open his mouth and shove the pill down there. It's like he respects us more for being upfront about it. When we've tried it in his food he just comes over and looks at us with disappointment, like he expected more from us! LOL!

I tried shoving the pill down his throat. He's too smart...he keeps it in his mouth until I look away and then he gags it up.
Stupid cat.
He's in the basement right now with his brother. I can't get either of them to eat. I think they are both traumatized by Max being away one night. Also, Max is exhausted from all of the stress.
Hopefully tomorrow will be better for him. I put out some tuna for him and his brother gobbled it all up.

max is having a hard time walking around. I hope he makes it to the litter box. I may have to confine him to one room if he has accidents.

another update:
heard from the vet..the blood tests finally came back. His thyroid levels are off the charts. We are increasing his meds and I am hand feeding him now for the most part. His thyroid gland is is huge and it's hard for him to lower his head to eat. We need to get something to raise the bowls up.
