anyone know how the food is at the Metropolitan? is it close to or on par with the WM?
As good, if not better. People raved about the food at my wedding.

Our wedding was at Sans Souci of Sea Cliff We loved it and got lots of compliments on the venue and the food.

Our wedding was at Sans Souci of Sea Cliff We loved it and got lots of compliments on the venue and the food.
I LOVED this place when I was looking at venues. It just was a tad too small for my wedding. (We were inviting 180+ppl at that time.) It is a really beautiful place!

we got married there 2 years ago and everything was fabulous- its an old mansion (gatsy-ish) that overlooks the water- the food was to die for!

i only had a 4 month engagement so it definitely can be done!
our wedding was at fox hollow too.. loved it!!
once she gets all the major things booked everything else falls into place!
what i did was just call all the places and asked for a specific date.. it was much easier than going down to see every one .

I got married at Fox Hollow and loved it there.
Just another suggestion - would she consider the city. My cousin got married at Morans on 10th ave & 19th street. I think she had about 125 people. It was really nice.Moran's

I also got married at WM  so I know the feel you are going for. check out Woodlands, gorgeous grounds and the food is great. pricing was higher than WM, I do remember that...but I got married 5 yrs ago.

saturday night is 85 including tax and gratuity
Minium of 75 people
Affordable and not a cookie cutter type of place, one wedding at a time also
I was just there with a friend looking last week, and they told her if she has her wedding this year they would lower it to $75 per person which is amazing including tax and 20%

I LOVED Moran's. It was too small for my wedding, but I would have had it there. Ophelia, if they consider the city, Moran's has their own parking lot across the street and they valet. Something to consider.

Gottcha! It bums me out that so many places have minimums that are a lot higher than 100.

i wished we would have looked at this place.
swan club was our final decision. but chateau le mer was beautiful. westbury manor was good.
