My mom just called me with the saddest news...UPDATE at bottom of OP
She's living in Virginia and she woke up at 7am to screaming - so she looked out of her window and next door she saw a man hanging in the front yard of his house. She called my aunt to ask her what it was..and they found out it was the man next door.
Apparently he had just lost his job and they were told they had to move by the end of the month, so he resorted to suicide.
I can't even imagine how his family must feel. What's worse...a school bus full of children went by and had no idea of what they saw, because the family has Halloween decorations in front of their house and they thought he was part of it.
I feel so sorry for them..
ETA: My mom and aunt just got an update, he lost his job because he was a heroine addict. Both him and the wife are addicts.
Even so..it's still so sad. They have kids...
UPDATE: I didn't get a chance to update earlier (sorry). They took the body down but had him there for a while. At around 10:30am they removed him from the scene. The daughter was VERY upset - she's 19. She had coffee with him in the morning at 5:30 and said had she stayed awake, he may not have done this. There's really no way for anyone to know this, but it's hard not to feel like you could have saved them.
Well..now my aunt and mom say they keep seeing him there. I can only imagine. That vision is going to be with them for a VERY long time. I told her to pray.

My mom and aunt are afraid to go out because the body is still there. Apparently they are going to have him there for a while. The ME is there and the scene is taped off.
I wouldn't want to be there right now. I told her they should go somewhere away from there..that is just horrible.

That is so sad. Maybe the drugs is what made him do this. Those poor kids!!!
I just don't understand!! There are always people out there to help and I wished he talked to someone first.

oh that is just terrible - my god. what an awful thing to see.
i guess when you are under the influence of drugs like that it makes you capable of anything it is so sad to think that maybe, if they weren't influencing him, he might not have done something like that.
of course, there are people who kill themselves and aren't on anything -- it is just sad to think of the possibility that the drugs altered his state of mind which could have led to this. you will never know for sure though. 
i feel bad for his family - your mom - those kids on the bus
