Cool for her! How long was she on Remicade?
I want to say somewhere around 2 years? It was pretty new when she first went on it. She would have 8 weeks of treatments, then a certain amount of time, about 3 months, off.
Her last infusion was at the very beginning of April and she won't have her next one until May.
They still want her on it? I guess as a preventative. Did they get all the Crohns?

The surgery didn't correct anything that is directly effected by her crohn's. They didn't touch her intestines or anything like that.
She had a dropped bladder, uterus, and vaga-ga, all prolapsed, which they thing occured because the weakness/thinness of her tissues which is a side effect of the meds from all these years, as well as the fisstulas (sp?) that initially seperated the bladder. She ended up having a hysterectomy, they also removed her cervix (precancerous), lifted the bladder, repaired holes and tears on the bladder, reconstructed her vagaga, and put a tube going from the kidneys to her bladder because the kidneys weren't also draining well, because her intestines are swollen and bulging in some areas and are pushing down on them.
So much of things to get done and none of them directly effect her crohn's!
So she still will need all of her treatments and meds for the crohn's itself, unfortunately.
