My MS is getting worse
I stayed home on Tuesday because of a bad back ache. And stayed home yesterday because my MS didn't stop until 2pm and today and I forced my way in to work and this morning I gagged brushing my teeth and I could only eat crackers and water.
Last week I could eat anything with no problem.

Re: My MS is getting worse
Are you taking any anti nausea medication? Call your dr. to get a prescription. Sorry you are going through it, it's the worst!

Re: My MS is getting worse
I hated brushing my teeth throughout my whole pregnancy... try switching toothpaste, I used lemon flavored one, it helped a little bit...

Re: My MS is getting worse
How far along are you? Mine peaked at like 9 weeks & then began to calm down little by little @ 11 or 12 & I felt much much better by 14 or 15. Eat whatever you can tolerate whenever you can, and try to drink (peppermint decaf iced tea or lemonade made me feel better). I hope you feel better soon. Hang in there.

OMG same here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am home sick from work again! This is the second time this week! I don't know how this is going to work, I too am only about 6 weeks prego! How am I going to make it through this pregnancy????????? HELP!!! This all hit me about 4 or 5 days ago. I have absolutely no energy, it's a chore just to walk around my house. I feel like an 85 year old woman. I'm wondering if this is normal for pregnancy? I gagged a few times brushing my teeth, so hard that it felt like my heart tried to come up my throat! I slept till 11:30 this morning and I could have kept sleeping but I had to take care of my dog. When I finally did get up, I felt so week, I thought I was going to faint! This little peanut is literally sucking the life out of me. Even if I only have to wait about 14 weeks to get through this, I 'm don't know how I'm going to make it??????

Re: My MS is getting worse
I learned for myself, that if I start feeling nauseous, that I am already too hungry. It does get better, and you will be tired. Just eat little snacks like these girls have said. Try lemon candy or lemonade.
For some reason, potato chips would make me feel better, and grilled cheese was made for dinner for 2 weeks straight for me.
Feel better!!

Re: My MS is getting worse
I'm 6 weeks too. My nausea first hit me on Sunday night, but I haven't thrown up yet. I am so scared of that happening - I'm a big baby with throwing up - I get so upset I cry. I gag brushing my teeth too The only way I've gotten through the last 2 days is sipping lemonade and munching on wheat thins. Going for a short walk at lunch helped a little too. Also, even though I'm so tired, I forced myself to go to the gym yesterday and was nausea-free for almost an hour afterwards.

Re: My MS is getting worse
Try to eat small bland meals. That is the only thing that helped me.

Re: My MS is getting worse
If your OB won't give you a script for the anti-MS meds (if (s)he doesn't think you're "sick enough"), try sea-bands, preggy-pops, anything lemon, watermelon, mint or ginger. Keep something with you that smells good to you (I had Bath&Body Moonlight Path antibact. gel) that you can put on your hands & bury your face in your hands in case you encounter a bad smell that you can't escape. Don't be surprized if favorite foods disagree w/ you now-pizza used to be a fave of mine, still now @ 19 wks, I have to leave the rm when DH eats it & I had to re-route my walk home from the subway to avoid Thai restaurants because just the sight makes me gag. Just try to hold on- I KNOW it SUUUUCKS. You may not feel 100% but it does get better.

Thank you --- I forgot about sea-bands! It crosssed my mind yesterday then I forgot.
I really don't want to take anything, I know you're probably saying why is she complaining then. I just want to try the remedies first and plus this is the only place I can express my moods

Re: My MS is getting worse
I got the preggie pop drops at Motherhood Maternity. They have SAVED me from vomitting so far.. I get the slightest bit nauseous and I freak. I hate being sick..
I had mono when I was 21 and threw up every day for 2 months. THAT was just awful. I hope it's nothing like that..

Find out if you have sensitivity to the growth hormones put off by the baby or the placenta- a friend of mine is allergic to it & got sick only after the 10th week.
