my nightmare! *2nd update*
Getting pregnant a second time so quickly seemed like a dream to me. Now I'm left in limbo for a few more days and don't know what to think.
I've had brown spotting for 3 days, when it started I called the dr and was sent to have a sono done. According to my LMP I should be 9 weeks, the sono showed a sac only and I measured only 5.5 weeks. My spotting has gotten a little darker, very very little blood from time to time but it could be from the internal that was done.
Went to the dr. yesterday, did bloodwork. She is being optimistic that my dates could very well be off. I wasnt so optimistic, I said by that much? and she said she experienced the same exact thing and her dauther is now 11 yrs old. She said lets wait for the blood results.
So my results came in, HCG 3,000 and Progesterone 9. She said the pro is lower than she would like it to be but the numbers coincide with the sono and we can't rule it a m/c just yet.
I go for a repeat blood test monday, if the numbers double, I could just be earlier in the pregnancy, if they drop I'm miscarrying. I'm too afraid to be optimistic, I think it's just gonna end in a m/c.
What a nightmare this has turned out to be! My dr. keeps reassuring me if we m/c that there is nothing wrong with me but she will refer me to a dr. to do genetic testing just to ease my mind, but she stressed to me that she lost 2 babies before having 2 successful ones.
Pray for me girls!
*UPDATE* I went in for bloodwork again today but since saturday afternoon I've been lightly bleeding so the dr. pretty much said I'm prob going to miscarry. She doesn't want to do a D&C bc she said the sac was measuring so small she would rather my body take care of it on its own. The worst part is that I'm bleeding so light and barely cramping so she said it could take about 2 weeks to pass
Next tuesday I go in to check my levels and then she will refer me to a maternal fetal specialist which I'm assuming is an RE so they can run extensive bloodwork and possibly figure out what, if anything, is causing the miscarriages.
This Blows! I wanna hide under a rock and cry, kick and scream!
*2nd update* So on Thurs my HCG was 3594 and Pro was 9, I got my results from yesterdays blood test, HCG 3500 and pro 6.5. Dr. said my levels are starting to drop which is a definite miscarriage. As sad and upsetting as it is, I'm glad to finally have some definite answers that it is a bad pregnancy. I was so up in the air not knowing since wednesday what the heck was going on. Next tues I go back for a checkup and bloodwork...I pray my levels drop quick!
I am being as positive as I can be, DH and I will schedule an appt. with a specialist as soon as this m/c is over, get more answers, then we decided to give my body and mind a 2-3 month break, enjoy the summer and then we'll get back on the horse! God help us!
This will not beat me down! I will hold a precious baby (that I will give birth to) one day!
Thanks to everyone for your support and prayers...

she doesn't want to do a D&C bc I already started to bleed and I may be passing the tissue in small clots already. As much as we want answers, the dr. said it's always better to not have to do a D&C.
She mentioned the possiblity of thick blood, hormone issues or clotting issues. One thing is for sure....no matter what it is, I refuse to give up. One way or another I'm gonna have my own baby.
My dr. is always optimistic bc she says the hardest part is getting pregnant and I've gotten pregnant easily twice...we just have to monitor my next pregnancy more closely.

I am so sorry My first m/c was passed naturally and it went so much faster and easier than this one with a D&C. Hang in there.

Re: my nightmare! *update*
I am so sorry for your loss!!
Hopefully when you meet with the RE you will run some tests and they can find out what is causing the miscarriages.
After my 2nd loss we did a long panel of bloodwork for the recurrent miscarriage panel. One of the things I tested postive for was MTHFR, a blood clotting disorder which they treat with Lovenox. Just know all of these things they can treat, and you will go on to have a healthy Pregnancy! It may be something so simple as taking baby Aspirin.
Please know I am here if you have any questions. I am just so sorry you had to go through this again.

Thank you so much Rachel. I'm trying to keep my head up during this nightmare, it feels surreal. I want to be hopeful that I will have a baby but I def need a break, I think me and DH will wait a few months before trying again. Our 1 yr anniversary is in a month so I want to focus on doing something special for that day. I'm so exhausted with counting days, weeks, checking CM, etc....a break would do me and my body some good and in the meantime I can get some answers from a specialist.

I think that a break will be a good idea. We did the same for about 3 months while working with the RE and waiting for all results. I needed that mental break from everything, but then believe it or not I was excited and hopefull to TTC again after the break!! I felt the same way, that I was just sick of CD, OPKS, POAS, annalyizing every symptoms. The break was just what was needed to get me back into everything.
You should plan something nice for you and DH for your Anniversary. You need to go some where relaxing and be pampered. You deserve it!!!

Re: my nightmare! *update*
Oh sweetie..... I don't even have words for how sorry i am for you.
It's so tragic and devastating. Your time will come... and you are ensuring that with your "I will not give up" attitude. Good luck with the RE and it's a great step to get tested to see what could be causing it. A lot of times I find that it could be the stupidest problem with your body that just fixing that ONE thing fixes the problem and Boom a baby comes!!!
I'm praying things work out for you.
Keep us posted.
Again, I'm sooooooo terribly sorry for what you are going through. I just had one mc and I can't imagine going through another one right afterwords. though it's a possibility and a fear.... I too feel compelled to keep on trying.

I am so sorry to see your update, I was keeping my fingers crossed for you. I am so sorry this pregnancy didn't work out also.
I hope with the blookwork test the RE does will find the cause.
