My rambling review of our first Disney trip..

Just a quick rundown of our first Disney trip

Oh where to start... We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. Through a promo we were upgraded to the Royal Rooms, which my daughter loved but I thought were just OK- I wouldn't have been happy if I paid extra for the room. It was small and could have been updated a bit. But we weren't there for the rooms, so it was fine. They have a great pool with a waterslide and water spouts for the kids, as well as regular pools. There is also a water taxi that takes you to Disney Springs, which we did one night. The hotel is about a 15 minute bus ride to the different parks.

We did all the parks- MK is just awesome and needs no explanation. We did all the rides multiple times. My daughter got a princess makeover and we did Cinderella's Royal Table for dinner after- a must do if you have a little princess. My kids loved getting everyone's autogragh. Definitely bring an autograph book! We had lunch at be Our Guest and sat in the Beasts room, which is awesome! It looks just like his room in the castle, complete with the rose losing it's petal's in the glass jar. I could have stayed there all day. We went on all the rides multiple times- we figured out to go to the most popular rides 1st thing when the park opens and there is only like a 5 minute wait- then go again with your fastpass. We did the must do's- Haunted Mansion, 7 Dwarves Mine Train, Splash Mountain, Peter Pan, Pirates, Small World. And i got the famous Dole Whip which was fab!

Epcot/AK/HS- IMO these are 1/2 day parks and were a little tough with my kids (6 & 7). They are more visual and my kids want rides. We had a FP for Flight of Passage in AK- somehow there is a crazy wait for the ride as soon as the park opens.
My husband and daughter did it- son was too small and those 3D rides aren't for me. My daughter was scared on the ride because it is so real, so just an FYI if you have little ones. Epcot had a few more rides than the other 2, but not enough to keep them satisfied. Epcot is beautiful and most people seemed to be sampling the food and drink of the nations Chat Icon
You must do the safari in AK- amazing! We did it in the morning and saw every animal- maybe they were all out for their feeding?

Tusker (AK) house breakfast is yummy! We also did breakfast at O'Hana (Polynesian) and Hollywood and Vine (HS) which were great also. All are character breakfast so bring your autograph books- all the characters stop at every table for autograph and pics.

Being our first time we did the Memory Maker and jumped in front of every photographer so we got pictures from all over the parks that I never would have been able to get.

I am sure I am leaving something out because there is just so much, but take it all in!

Sounds like fun! We got back last month and loved it. WE actually loved Epcot A LOT. LOL! We also loved Soar and of course the adults were all drinking. Kids loved getting their stamps.
We also love Star Wars so Hollywood Studios was awesome. Especially meeting the Star Wars characters.
Glad you had fun! Definitely need to plan a trip in another year. LOL
WE stayed off site though and rented a house.
