Thanks for posting the pics -- I feel like I was there! So sorry that I couldn't be  .
Especially love the face you're making when you opened the sweater -- you made me cry (of course right now everything makes me cry -- damn hormones).
I am a novice knitter and I just have to say to anyone who ever thought about trying it -- do it!! Its easy; it scores you major points in the gift giving dept; and it totally gets you through bedrest
