My Sister Can Not Come To My Shower
My baby shower is next Sat and my sister's C-Section was scheduled for next Friday. I know that I am suppose to be happy but with my mom not being here and not having my sister now hurts even more. I am sitting here with tears coming down my eyes. The good thing is that she will have the baby on parent's anniversary and that will mean so much to my dad (as all of you know my mom passed away 2 months ago).

I am so sorry sweety, Your day will still be really special, and we kno that if ur sis could have scheduled it on a different day im sure she would have, at least its for a really special reason, please enjoy ur shower, and im sorry to hear about ur mom, she is their in spirit as well, and ur baby will have a special angel on his/her side

The only thing I can say is that it'll be so nice to think at your shower that she'll have had her little baby by then :) and I'm sure she would have loved to have been there more than anything. Make arrangements to have a special lunch out with just you and your sister-can that be done during the week?? I would do that and just take some time to be with just her...

Thanks. She tried to reschedule for the following week but the Dr does not want to wait that long. I wish I could go out with my sister that week but I have to work and can not take off. I might take off on Fri to be at the hospital.

I am so sorry. Can your sister ask the doctor for a Monday date? That is only 3 days...maybe if she explained the situation. If there is not a medical emergency then maybe he could understand.

My sister already spoke to her Dr and since she is a diabetic she does not want to wait much longer.
