Re: My son won't sleep in his crib
I swear I wrote this!! Our DD is 10 months also and we have done the same thing rocking to sleep and transferring. My ped said that between 8- 10 months old they start waking during the night (normal we all do it) but they cant put themselves back to sleep on their own because as my ped calls it "we are cheating parents" they are looking to be rocked back to sleep.. You have to stop the cycle and trust me I know it sucks. We stopped on Friday and its been really hard getting her to sleep but we just rub her back and she eventually goes to slleep with a fight, but when she wakes we go in rub her belly and give her her binky and she goes back, no picking her up out of the crib. Theres an article in this months parents mag about just this. She still puts up a hell of a fight but itsx getting a little easier. Before this we were sleeping on the couch my DH wont allow the bed. Hes afriad he'll roll onto her.. Good luck let me know how you do

Thanks for the advice! I guess I am not alone. I have to pick up the Parents Mag to see the article you mentioned too.

Re: My son won't sleep in his crib
My babies give us a hard time too. Whats harder is they share a room, so when one wakes up it usually wakes the other one. It is really difficult getting them back to sleep, we usually end up putting them in their chairs (infant to toddler rocker) and they go back to sleep. At almost 13 months old, they still do not sleep through the night.
