I'm so sorry.
I always hate writing this, because it means that someone else is going through such a painful & horrible experience that I would never wish on an enemy... so I'm going to keep this short, because I know how hard it is.
Please do NOT blame yourself for this.
Know that time will heal your wounds... it will NEVER allow you to forget, but it'll get better coping with this.
Take as much time as you need to recuperate emotionally. This is truly a rollercoaster, and for me, it was worse than a death in the family.
Do NOT allow anyone to tell you how to feel, or handle this.... many don't understand the severity of this sort of loss.
You will go through sadness, anger, denial, and then acceptance.
Again, I'm sooo sorry for your loss. Sending hugs & prayers your way
