My surgery is done..any who has had laparascpopy and D&C?

Well I did indeed have an ectopic pregnancy. They removed it along with my left tube yesterday.

They also gave me a d&c and removed the bleeding i had that was pooling in my abdomen.

What a freaking nightmare. Especially since they assumed it was an early miscarriage. I guess my instincts of calling the doctor 4 times in a week did truly mean something more was wrong (stomach pain which they thought was my uterus just going back to normal)

how long did it take you to be pain free? Its just 24 hours later and i feel AWFUL. i'm taking percoset which i hate to take but it gets me through it. I just can't believe how horrible I feel. My entire reproductive area hurts. UGH!!

Any info would be wonderful or any advice for healing/pain management would be so so appreciated!

I had abdominal surgery with my lap band a few years ago. It took me 2 weeks to feel 100% but only 3 or 4 days to be functionable.

I'm so sorry! I didn't have a d&c but did have an ectopic and my right tube removed (like you, for weeks they thought mine was an early miscarriage). I had a lot of pain in my abdomen for like 5 days and then the incision site took quite awhile to heal. I was out of work for almost 2 weeks. For pain management I think I took the pain meds they gave me for a day or two and then switched to Advil. Hope you feel better soon. If you ever want to talk, feel free to FM me.

Hope you feel better at least physically soon - you have been through a lot...glad you persevered and went with your instincts. Get some rest this weekend
