My tooth broke!!!
So I am in Kansas City for buisness this week... had to travel on Mother's Day to get here...
I was eye-balling the candy they put out on the table and decided that I MUST have the Sugar Daddy that was there. Proceeded to eat it and completely forgot how sticky and chewy they are until my upper and lower jaws were stuck shut by the stuff...
Started chewing and thought there was a hunk of hard sugar in the candy.... no such luck.. it was my tooth!
About one quarter of my back molar cracked off. I will need a crown but my dentist doesn't want to work on me as I am 24 weeks along.
Think happy thoughts that the filling and/or remaining part of the tooth can hang in there for the last 3 and a half months of pregnancy!
The good news is there is currently no pain.... knock on wood!

I feel your pain!!! I'm awaiting a crown myself!!!!!! She's trying to wait the next 3 1/2 months to do it too. We can wait it out together!!!!!!!

Did a piece of your tooth break off? How much is missing??? I am just afraid that if I wait, I will have pain.... which I would like to avoid! (enough of that to come with the baby!)

Oddly enough, the tooth broke years ago. At that time I didn't have dental insurance, so I used a nail file to file down the jagged parts cutting into my tongue. Try to figure that one out.  I kind of forgot about it once I got insurance. I never said I was smart.
Somehow a few weeks ago I got a nasty infection and I needed an emergency root canal on 2 different teeth on 2 different days. One of them is that stupid tooth from a few years ago. That one was filled, but still needs a crown. But she says she can probably wait until after I have the baby. Hope this helps you!

my tooth cracked and absessed when i was 8 mos preggos....it was a nightmare so I feel your pain....isn't it crazy all the things that happen when you are preggos that you neevr thought would????

I feel your pain! I had a tooth break from eating sugar babies when I was 2 months preggo.
On my wedding day, I was about 4 months preggo, the back bottom tooth broke.
PS, I am now spending lots of time at the dentist.....3 crowns!!!

They have a temporary filling material that you can buy at the drug store & do yourself. I think dh did this when his tooth broke. You should try that or have the dentist fill it b/c you could get an infection
