That is some good news!

The sonos that early on are a better predictor of the DD than any other method, accourding to my Dr.

I had a sono at 5w 4d, and we were only able to see a faint blip that the tech said was the HB, but it was very very faint and took about 20 minutes to find. Even the Dr said that it is highly unusual to see anything that early.

Try to think positive thoughts and Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon until your next visit.

What is DD? Thanks.

The faint blip I saw was what the doctor said was the yolk. The entire thing.

DD = due date.
Yeah that is what I mean, your blip was the yolk accourding to your Dr. That is why I am not convinced that what I saw was the heart beat when I went...it seems that different techs/Drs have different assessments.

Re: My update (long)

I think at 5 weeks we saw what you saw and at 7 weeks we saw the hb, a little blip flashing on the screen.

Try not to compare yourself to others, you will just drive yourself crazy. Everyones pregnancy is different!

At 5.5 weeks I was in for a sono for bleeding & pain on the side.

Empty sac...no heartbeat.

The following week - 6.5 weeks, I went back & there was a heartbeat.

32.5 weeks later...that heartbeat was Maddie.

Those little buggers grow fast!

After I was spotting my doc wouldnt do a sono because i was only 6 weeks and he said we still probably wouldnt be able to see anything. if he thought you should have seen a HB and there wasnt one, he would have told you so!

The heart doesn't begin beating until the 6th week, so if somebody saw it at 5 weeks, they have an amazing story. Glad to know things went well and I pray for sticky vibes for you!!!

Did anyone have a sono at around 5 and a half weeks? What did you see?

I had one at 5w2d (lmp) and all we saw was a circle with a dot in the middle. I went back exactly 2 weeks later and saw a beautiful little bean with a strong heartbeat and measured 6w6d. I am measuring a little behind but the doctor said not to worry since it is early and implantation date can never certain.

You can check out my sonograms in my album. I believe my first one was at 7 weeks and we did see the heartbeats. I will be praying for you!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
