My Weight Loss Journey....Thus Far (LOOOONNNNGGG..Sorry)
I'm still so amazed at how much support you ladies are giving me! Although I shouldn't be that surprised because I know that's what we are all here for...to give and receive support through the good, the bad and the ugly  
So many of you have asked how I lost almost 50 lbs so far (48.8  ) and lots of you said that you would like to get your 'butt in gear.' Well, since I got my inspiration not only from a picture of myself but from quite a few amazing ladies over on the diet and fitness board, I figured maybe I can pay it forward to someone here. So, here goes...
I went on vacation in July 2007. I got home and looked at the pictures that were taken and took one look at myself and said 'you have to do something about this.' I wasn't happy. I was miserable with myself. My *** life was pretty non-existant because I didn't even want to look at myself, never mind have DH look at me. In turn, that made me feel worse because he is such an amazing husband and he didn't deserve to have such a miserable wife.
So, my hairdresser ( ), who also happens to be a good friend, told me that I should try Weight Watchers again. I've tried it in the past, but never really stuck with it. She has been going to meetings on Sunday mornings for years and she said she would pick me up. I told her I appreciate it, but I will meet here there. (I know, this isn't important, but it is.) So, that weekend, I went. And she was waiting by the door. And we walked in together. She did whatever she had to do and sat down. I got weighed in. I saw the number. Walked numbly to my seat and CRIED. I couldn't stop crying. 232.6 lbs. I weighed almost as much as my father. Since I avoided the scale since the day before I gave birth to my son, I had NO clue. I was squeezing into a size 20. Nothing can describe the pain and disappointment I felt in myself while I sat in that chair crying with my friend hugging me and telling me to knock it off.
That day I promised myself that I was IN THIS. I would not only loose the 20 lbs I had left of baby weight but I would loose more. I didn't put a number on how much I wanted to loose, and I still haven't. I just wanted to loose.
I started by bringing Lean Cuisine's for lunch and measuring every single thing that I put in my mouth. As I got used to that, I got confident enough to make my own lunch. Then I started making even healthier choices, reading labels, eating more diverse foods to get the vitamins and nutrients that the body needs.
I plan every single meal. Every snack. If I go out to eat, I look it up online and see how many points it is. I would never buy something in the store without knowing how much it costs, right? So I realized...why would I eat soemthing without knowing how many points it is (how much it costs)?
After I lost about 35 lbs, I started going to the gym. I got a trainer (Kurt) and told Kurt "I am IN THIS. We are doing it. I'm committed." And, he said "Are you sure? I only work with people who are committed." I told him "don't take my word for it, I'll show you." And, ever since then we've been doing it. I see him twice a week and I also go to the gym twice on my own and on Sundays, I jog at the park. Kurt has been an amazing support to me. My time with him is priceless. I am learning more about my body through Kurt than I ever knew. He helps me with my food choices, he give me advice and he truely cares about my journey.
Also, my DH is so proud of me! He helps me whenever he can. he listents to me ****** and complain. He massages my sore muscles. He sad that when I reach the point I want to be, he is going to get me a new wedding ring (mine is HUGE on me). He has been amazing and I couldnt' do this without him. And, my *** life is back to normal...or better
So, there's my story thus far. If ANY of you feel like you need support and don't know where to go, please please please FM me! I have lost 48.8 lbs so far. Went from a size 20 to a size 10  . I dont' know how many more lbs I want to loose, I just take it day by day. It's not so overwhelming that way. Also, it feels good to have control over myself. We don't have control over so many things in our lives, it feels good to have control over what I put in my body.

Congrats Steph! I started WW in January, and so far I am only down 11 lbs...but it's a start. I have come to realize that being on WW is not a temporary thing...it is how I am going to have to live my life forever...but I want to wear a size 10 jeans again also, like you

Good job, Kim. You WILL wear a size 10 again, if that's what you want to do. Like you said, it is now a way of life. Not a fad.

Way to go, congrats!!!!! I have to get my butt back in gear...I too had lost 50lbs before my wedding & then gained 20lbs & then got pregnant & now I'm still 10lbs from what I was when I got pregnant. I want to lose a good 30lbs. I know I can do it, but I have to get motivated...
