Re: Mystic CT
We did all that and them stayed at Mohegan Sun. My daughter loved the indoor pool, the kids arcade, shopping in the stores, and dinner at a nice restaurant then staying in the nice hotel

We were just there over spring break. We stayed at the Hyatt Place. Old Mystic Village has cute shops. We ended up driving about an hour to Battleship Cove in Massachusetts which my son loved. We ate at the Engine Room and Captain Daniel Packer Inn and they were both good. Sift Bake Shop has amazing baked goods.

Re: Mystic CT
Places to see:
Seaport takes a whole day to do well. Have lunch there: it’s quite good!
Aquarium: this is more a half day thing. Lots is outdoors, so keep that in mind if weather is iffy.
The bridge: on the Main Street in mystic, there are a bunch of shops if you are into that and a very good but overcrowded ice cream shop
I don’t think there is much more than this... unless you like historic architecture. We DO usually combo it with Mohegan Sun and events there. FYI: Mohegan has a “kids club” area where you can leave your kid for a few hours. The supervision isn’t great, but if you have tickets to a show... this is PRICELESS. We did this when we went to go see a comedian. I wouldn’t recommend leaving kids under about 4 there.
To stay: Mohegan is nice and has great restaurants. Unfortunately, last time we went it totally sold out and all restaurants were booked (Sebastian Maniscalco has quite the following)... so we stayed at a bitty hotel in Mystic. It was fine.
To eat:
S&P Oyster bar is expensive and good. It is waterside, so very pretty. I’ve been many times over the years
Oyster club is on the other side of the bridge and the food and drinks were amazing. No view... but great food!
Mystic pizza: its a tourist destination... but if you like the movie, it’s worth a visit, pizza is ok
Go Fish restaurant: it has sushi and was quite good. We were in a rush and waitress was super kind.
Mystic diner: sometimes when you are with little kids, you need a diner. This was a good one. The portions were huge and we had a breakfast/lunch that was great
