Re: Pls recommend a nice hotel in Mystic, CT and things to do with a 16 m/o
We've stayed at the Residence Inn, very nice but all the hotels are just off the I-95....not exactly the picturesque New England experience....but the town of Mystic itself is absolutely wonderful....a little like Northport Village.
There is an Ameri-Suites there as well which was ok....and a Best Western.
ETA- The aquaruim would be great for your 16 month!

We stayed at the Hyatt Place ...I HIGHLY reccomend it...We got a great rate..About $85 for the night. The room was VERY large, Full living romm area, Fridge, sink and microwave. And a huge flat screen TV. Comfortable bed. And free breakfest and starbucks coffee in the AM ( eggs, bagels, cereals, coffee, Tea, Fruit , oatmeal etc) ...
And its right next door to Old Mystik Village, and down the block from both the Aquarium and the seaport.
Eta- My son was 19 months when we went last, we did the seaport, the aquarium and the village and it was a lot of fun.

We took DS to Mystic for the day. He was almost 18 months old. The aquarium and seaport were great for him. He loved exploring both places.

THIS!! We just went in April - met up with friends of ours from NY (we're in MA) and this was THE best hotel room to stay with a baby in. I was able to put the pack n play in a separate part of the room and DS couldn't see us as he went to sleep. It was great.
Hit up the Aquarium, the Old Mystik village and the seaport.

Re: Pls recommend a nice hotel in Mystic, CT and things to do with a 16 m/o
We took DD to Mystic last year when she was one. She ran around the grass and lawn at the seaport. Then DH and I drove downtown, by Mystic Pizza and there is a park across the street, it came in handy to burn off all that energy. We got back in the car to go to cape Cod and DD slept the whole way..it was great!!

We're taking our DD in August and we're staying at the Hampton Inn. I've never been there but it's newly renovated and it looks really nice.

We went to mystic when DD was about that age. We stayed at the Residence Inn. It was great to have the seperate living room, so she could nap in her pack and play and we could relax. I also loved having the little kitchen area.
We went to the Aquarium, Seaport and walked around the little twon. It was a great time.

I grew up there and you received the best recommendations! The aquarium is great (I got married there!) and your DS will LOVE it!
There are little shops and some great little places to eat in downtown mystic! Hope you get to enjoy some of them!
