Our friends installed them in their house. They are hidden and her and her dh can view a private link from their blackberry or computer. They did tell the nanny they were there, but made it sound like they like to see the baby throughout the day. They also figured they would like to prevent something rather than catch something.

We considered it but eventually decided not to install one. We've thankfully never had any reason to not trust our nanny and DD lights up when she sees her so I'd like to trust my gut on this one. I think I'd make myself sick criticising everything I saw if we had a camera.
However we have toyed with the idea of just leaving our laptop camera on one day just to get a sneak peek! Haven't done it yet.
