Nap/bedtime schedule for 7/8/9 month olds

What is your 7/8/9 month old's sleeping schedule like? As far as wake up time, how many naps, how long, at what times of day, etc.? Kieran is almost 8 months. I think he is a pretty light sleeper, so when he is in daycare during the day, he takes 2 naps, usually only about a half hour each. When we get home, around 3, I nurse him, then put him down for another nap. He usually sleep about 2-2.5 hours. So he gets up around 5:30/6. I give him dinner then, but then I feel like it's a long time to be awake before he goes to bed, but not a long enough time for another nap, KWIM? He had been going to bed between 8:30-9, but tonight and last night, he's been getting sleepy much earlier, like 7:30 or so. I'm wondering if he's starting to push his bedtime earlier.
So what does your little one do?

Re: Nap/bedtime schedule for 7/8/9 month olds

DD just turned 9 months last week.

She normally goes down for the night around 7:30 and will wake up between 6-6:30... she's always been an early riser!

When she is home on the weekends or with my mom 2 days a week, she will take a nap around 9:30-11:30. Then she will take another nap around 2:30-4:30. Give or take.

At daycare 3 days a week, she still naps twice, but for some reason the naps aren't as long.

Re: Nap/bedtime schedule for 7/8/9 month olds

DD generally wakes around 7-7:15 (sometimes as late as 7:30 and very rarely as late as after 8 but mostly just after 7). First nap is about 9:30 for about an hour and a half. Second nap is around 1:30 for 2-2.5 hours and as long as 3 hours, but not usually quite that long. Bedtime is btw 7 and 7:30 depending on how the naps went. She used to take 3 naps, but when she dropped the last one, the other two lengthened and bedtime moved up a bit for awhile, but now has moved back a little bit (her bedtime used to be btw 7:30-8 so not a huge difference) and I think might go back a little bit more. She still gets roughly about the same amount of sleep though, just with one less nap. DD could never go as late as 8:30/9 (which is hard for me since I basically get home and put her to bed) - but she likes (and needs) her sleep too much!

I'm thinking he might be starting to do this. I just went back to work last week after being off for 3 weeks. During my vacation, he got into a pattern of 2 long (2+ hours) naps and maybe one cat nap throughout the day, as opposed to his several catnaps and one maybe hour and a half nap he had been doing. But then I went back to work, meaning he went back to daycare, and he catnaps again. He just doesn't sleep as long there. So I think that's why he's been doing like 2.5 hours when we get home and then going to bed a little earlier.

DS just turned 7 months. He goes to bed between 7-7:30 and wakes up around 6. He takes a nap at 9:00 for about 1.2-2 hours and again at 1:00 for about the same amount of time.

Grace is 9.5 months. She takes 1 nap a day, it's usually an hour and a half. It's hard to keep her on a schedule because of DS's school. I definitely think she needs more sleep than she gets.

Re: Nap/bedtime schedule for 7/8/9 month olds

DS is now 7.5 months old.. He was always a great sleeper at night, and rarely ever took naps. But the past two weeks or so that's been changing!
He wakes about 7ish going Mmmaa mmmmaaa from his crib. I feed him his first bottle, and just as he finishes his last drop he goes to sleep. Usually that nap lasts about 30 mins to an hour. Then the next nap tends to be around 11ish, but that really depends on what we are doing. If I am just cledaning and such, then yes, he'll be asleep by 11 LOL. Otherwise, he'll hold off as long as possible till usually about 1ish...since his morning nap never changes. Then, he has an afternoon nap at around 3ish give or take. those two naps (11ish and 3ish) are usually about an hour and a half to 2 hours each. Then, he gets dinner and bath at 7ish, and is in bed by 730. So far so good... lol
