Nap times for 4-6 month olds...
DS used to be a great napper when he was younger. He would take 3 naps a day for 2-3 hours each one. Then at about 3.5 months old he started to take 30-45 minute naps 4 times a day. Now he is 5 months old and he takes 4-30 minute naps a day. Except for today...I took a bath with him earlier and used his bedtime baby wash. He took a 4 ounce bottle at 350pm and fell asleep 15 minutes later. It is now 540pm and he is still sleeping. Do you think the bath had a part in his longer nap? or is it just a fluke? How are your DC napping?

Re: Nap times for 4-6 month olds...
Baths ALWAYS induced longer naps for DD. There were days where if I could have given her 4 baths, I would have! It could be a fluke, but if you like the results, maybe try it again tomorrow & see what happens?

DS is 5.5 months and takes one 1.5-2 hour nap in the am and then 2 shorter 30-45 min naps in the afternoon.

kj is 6 1/2 months and he takes usually 2 (2 hour) naps...once in a blue, he will take one long (like 3.5 hour) nap and that is it but usually he naps for about 4 hours in total during the day

Re: Nap times for 4-6 month olds...
He slept from 410-640pm. Had cereal and fruit for dinner. And by 8pm he was ready for his night bottle and bed. He fell asleep at 815pm. I have no idea how long he is going to sleep now. When he was younger he used to take a late nap and still go to bed early and sleep for the night. I think maybe his teething has something to do with his screwed up nap schedule...
