nap very close to bedtime

what do you do when your DC takes a long nap close to bedtime? My 9 week old never really napped but the past 2 days has been napping at around 4 and sleeping over 2 hours. Her usually bedtime is 8 (bath at 7:30). What would you do...let her sleep and extend her bedtime, wake her up at the 2 hour mark, let her sleep and keep the same bedtime? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Also, if you feed before bed, do you feed when they wake from their nap (its been over 3 hrs since last feed) and then feed again for bedtime?

Around that age up to about 5 monts-DD used to nap around 5-6 and then go to bed at 7-no problems. I'd let her sleep- keep the same bedtime and take it from there. See if she goes down. She may outgrow this. HTH

Same here. Even now, my DD is just about 19 months DD usually wakes from her afternoon nap around 4:30/5:00 (sometimes even 5:30) and she still asks to go "nite nite" at 7:00 (her bedtime is 7:30, we start bedtime routine at 7).

My DS is the same way. Now his last nap is closer to 4 and his bedtime is by 8pm. He sometimes slept from 5-7pm and still go to bed at his regular time. Just play it out for a few days and see what the routine will be. Sometimes he even slept through the night from 6pm.
