Naps.. 8,9,10 month olds..

can you tell me your 8,9,10 month old nap schedule?

and how many naps a day?

i seem to be having a setback with them, they used to be good nappers.. 2x a day almost 2 hours each time.
but now i am lucky if i get a half hour Chat Icon is this normal or do i have to change up my schedule?

what time are their naps usually? you may need to push them back and one may be a long nap and the second nap may turn out to be a cat nap...1/2 hour nap.

Re: Naps.. 8,9,10 month olds..

DD USUALLY naps 2 hours in the AM- about 2- 2.5 hours after she wakes up. If we miss that window- She's a beast to get down!! In the afternoon- she'll do a 1/2 hour-1 hour. I've noticed as she's getting alittle older- she's more easily distracted. She needs quiet and dim lighting..and a bottle! NO bottle=no nap!!
what's your routine for nap time?

Ainsley is 10.5 months and is on no kind of nap schedule. She's just not consistent. Sometimes she'll take 2 naps, sometimes she'll catnap in the morning and take a decent nap in the afternoon, and sometimes she'll take 2 cat naps.Chat Icon

Re: Naps.. 8,9,10 month olds..

ds is 8.5 months and he is getting a little fussier also.. he takes his morning one 2-2.5 hours after he wakes up also but that used to be 2 hours now i'm lucky if its an hour and he gets sleepy around 4 but doesn't want to nap so he's cranky and when I nurse him at 6 he decides he wants to nap and then doesn't fall asleep till 11.. woke him up an hour earlier today so i'm hoping this helps a bit.

Re: Naps.. 8,9,10 month olds..

they take the 1st nap 2 hours after they get up .
that nap was usually the best always 2 hours.

then the 2nd nap was 2 hours after they woke up again. so around 1:30.

but NOW.. they are doing so badly with the napping

Push that nap back an hour and see if they go down at 2:30.

That's what DS was doing at that age - but at about 9.5/10 months, I noticed I had to push it a little later. SO the am nap became 2.5 hours after wake up - now at almost 1 year - its 3-3.5 hours after.

Re: Naps.. 8,9,10 month olds..

for 2 weeks he fought me on naps (he was hitting milestones I guess, babbling, and crawling, walking), then suddenly he was back to his 2 2 hour naps (I guess he figured it out)

Now he's giving me a 3 hour nap in the morning (I guess teething) and I have no clue what to expect next.
