Re: NASSAU residents: why do u love ur area?
Im in Seaford, I disagree with the other poster about the Seaford School district. I did lots of research and spoke with many teachers in the district and around the district and all said they were great schools.
The area is beautiful...near many parks..the beaches...near all parkways. very quiet and safe neighborhood..
good luck in your search.

I agree with everything that has been said about Levittown.
I grew up here and we bought our house here.
Someone said to me you must have had a great childhood there. And you know what I had the most amazing childhood hear and thats why I LOVE LIVING HERE!
It's very affordable and you can do ANYTHING to a levit house!

I live in East Meadow and really love it here. We are near playgrounds - the pool and the parkways. I hear that the schools are pretty good and the area jsut makes me happy.

Re: NASSAU residents: why do u love ur area?
I don't live in Nassau anymore but I used to live in Island Trees/Levittown. I love the quiet area I lived in and the neighbors were awesome. Island Trees schools are excellent and I was close to everything from shopping to movies.

Lynbrook
Close to LIRR, city, major highways.
Great schools.
Shopping, good restaurants, parks, a public pool.
I live on a quiet street with great neighbors who rave about living there for years.
It has a real neighborhood feel, similar to what I experienced growing up.

ITA about Lynbrook. We are in Malverne with the same feel. Our backyard is Lynbrook
We will def add Lynbrook to our list for our next house and RVC but Oceanside Schools. No RVC taxes

What about Garden City?
Good school district - several train stations to choose from -easy commute to NYC, great shopping locally, many good restaurants locally as well.
I love Garden City and we really wanted to look there for our next house until we found out you can't build a pool there
I know that is a very old rule here and does kind of stink- but that is partly b.c they have an amazing community pool (you have to live in town to go to - but if you don't join and live in GC you can't go even as a guest) with a baby pool, sprinkler area, two playgrounds, family pool with huge slides and an adult only pool. We still go there with my family regularly but it has spoiled us as we haven't found a town or other pool as nice.

Floral Park
-Great Schools -Great community- lots of young families -has its own police department, garbage pickup and rec center/park for residents only -close to lirr, walking distance from most places in fp. -close to major highways
I'm in Floral Park too!
I grew up here and we moved back 3 months ago after living in apartments for the last 12 years. I LOVE it - the park/recreation center is fantastic, there is a gorgeous bird sanctuary/community gardens. There is a main street with quaint restaurants, pubs and shops, and you're minutes to the city.
