No me too! In Global Studies I leanded about Shintoism and we read Sidhartha and learned about Buddhism. We studied the Crusades and the Martin Luther revolutions. I took Latin and learned about ANcient Greek and Roman religions. I don't remember learning much about Judaism, but i learned PLENTY of that at home- so I could have phased it out in school.

You're exactly right. No matter what we acknowledge it's always offensive to someone. Why do you think this is? It seemed like it wasn't before. Do you think it's fear? But fear of what?
I don't think it's necessarily fear, it's more about the need to not offend anyone, which is impossible. But I think it's also done to promote the fact that this is a country with more religions represented than one can count. Religious freedom was important to the people who founded this country and while they probably didn't see this degree of diversity I think it's important that the government (and the schools are part of the government) not promote one religion over another and not make people feel that they have to conform to the "dominant" religion.

You're right.
