Nausea please go away!

I am so nervous about getting sick at the office and what would happen if someone else is in the bathroom with me at the same time. Chat Icon

Having a problem drinking enough water/fluids which is not helping the nausea but the thought of putting anything in my mouth is making me gag.

I am managing to eat 3 meals/day but boy is it difficult. I feel like I'll never NOT feel nauseous again!

Anyone else in their 1st trimester and walking around constantly hungry enough that you're nauseous but too sick to eat enough?

I can commisserate - but please know this too shall pass. I just entered my 14th week today and let me tell you, the difference between today and 3 weeks ago is like night and day. I know some women continue to feel sick for longer, but I really feel like I turned a corner overnight. This time, one month ago, I was drinking broth and seltzer and the only food items I wanted were plain carbs (which I usually avoid). Don't force feed yourself big portions, just a few bites often throughout the day. And, I totally felt like NOT eating every 2 hours made the nausea worse. I carried Lara bars in my bag everywhere I went, in case I started to feel queasy. Even 3-4 bites would make things more manageable.

Yes I get this feeling often. I have crackers at my desk at work that seems to help a bit. Also ginger ale helps too for me.

Yes! I'm right there with you! I feel like everyday it's something else. And I feel like every time I "conquer" one symptom, another one presents. It's been horrible! I do have to agree with Jocelyn though. When I was preg with my first DS, it was like a switch flipped for me one day and it all stopped. I know it will pass but I totally feel your pain right now

It's nice to hear I'm not alone though I would never wish anyone else to suffer, haha.

Yeah and I totally agree about 1 symptom and then the next day, something to add to the stack! Can't WAIT to be able to tell people already (it's my first!) so hoping the next 5 weeks go by quickly! Chat Icon

Re: Nausea please go away!

I'm in my second but thats what I felt like for my whole first.

I lived with a trash can in my backseat and I worked serving people food so that was a lot of fun. I threw up at work a few times actually. We closed for the season just after the nausea ended.

GOOD LUCK!
