Nausea Question: If you have a full stomach, are you more prone to throw up?
Occasionally I will feel good for an hour or two and can eat a full meal. I usually try to eat as much as I can.
Like clockwork, I will throw it all up if I had a full meal.
I'm wondering if you are more prone to throw up if you have a full stomach.

yes,
My midwife said that the fuller your stomach is the more prone you are to vomiting. That is why she recomemnde many small meals or snacks instead of a few big meals. It is easier for your stomach to handle/digest

I'd have to say yes. Especially if the baby is very active cause he/she could push on your stomach from the inside and make your food come up without being able to control it. For me, it depends on if I have heartburn. If I eat too much I get terrible heartburn and then, up it comes, without control!
Although, these days I dont have to eat much to get the heartburn and/or throw up. A cup of water usually does it for me

I'd be inclined to say yes.
However, this was not the case for me. As nauseus as I was 24/7 I could not throw up for anything. Full stomach or not.

I've only thrown up when I had a full stomach. And it's been immediate. Like last bite in....everyone out. Pretty gross but it keeps me from allowing myself to get too full.

ITA, this is how it was for me too...
my M/S finally just stopped around 21w...it was a LONG road...
but if i was starving i would dry heave and throw up bile, and then when i would actually eat, i would vomit anyway...
kept my weight down though lol
