What is the best way to fly to NC from LI?

The best would be to leave from MacArthur, but it seems $$ and the layovers are ridiculous.

Delta seems to be the cheapest too. Looking to go in October, and Jet Blue isnt published yet for that far ahead.

Both airports are 1.5 hrs from High Point. I usually fly Jet Blue so I am not too much help picking an airline.
