Thats so funny! Yeah i havent been able to go to any meet ups! Im actually getting my hair done on Fri night from Stephanie. And now Ive been watching 2 kids during the day...so it gets hard to be able to get out! I didnt even realize that was you...too funny!

thats my prob i have 1 for the AM hrs...then I get maybe 2hrs free if that and I have to get to the bus stop for the older 1. So anytime I am free either theres nothing going on or the times just clash with what I need to do! Hate that bc it gets lonely down here!!

It is just like a video game. Then again I love NASCAR and am thrilled to live near all them. The real ones, not the wannabes on I-77.  After living in NY for 7 years, I am prepared for the highways in Charlotte.

I don't seem to mind the driving around here as much as I thought I would. I guess because whenever I drive I am not in a big rush, it's actually relaxing. In NY I used to get such rage!
I too agree after the holidays would be best!
Maybe since there are some north & east and some south, we can pick an area in between them all?
Those who know the state might be able to help with ideas.
Maybe midway around Asheboro (I am just looking at the map, I have no clue if anything is even around there, besides the zoo) ?

Yes, I think a more central location would be fair and convenient for more. That is why I suggested Asheboro. My poll was just to get an idea of where everyone lives, not necessarily to vote on the location.
ETA: Worst case carpooling would be a good idea if there are only 3 or 4 from each of the other areas.

Hi Guys!!! I'm finally here....a huge snow and ice storm held us up overnight in PA. But we just arrived today at 4pm, and I am sitting here in my bedroom in CHARLOTTE. Thank God the cable guy came tonight and hooked us up. Tomorrow I do a walk through my house!! Wow I just can't believe I am here...that I actually live here now. Anyway, about the gtg..I am definitely in. Wherever everyone decides..I can carpool with Emily my new BFF . Can't wait to meet everyone.

I went out to the zoo in asheboro, not much around, but I am sure they have something...maybe a chilis.

I liked it, its 5 miles of walking, so it was a full day. with the membership for like 60.00, its a year free admission for the fam including the columbia zoo which I heard is very kid friendly.

Yes, I heard it's big. $60 is not bad at all. If it stays warm, maybe we'll go soon. Otherwise we'll wait until next year when our little  arrives.

Yay!!! Glad you made it down safely. I'll be honest and say that, even after being here for 5 months, it still doesn't really feel like home just yet. I guess it takes awhile. But we do love it.
AND...you'll be loving it on Sunday, when it's 70 degrees!!!!

If you don't mind my NASCAR plates or the fact I like to drive like a NASCAR driver...we can carpool! 
eta: Did I forget to mention the plate holder and decals?  Yes, my DH knows about it and everytime he peels off the decals, new ones miraculously appear. I was born in Ohio, that is the only excuse I have.
