Need a doctor for neck and back pain
At least once a month I get bad neck and shoulder pain (cannot turn head) but now it feels like pain is shooting down my spine. What kind of doctor do I see for this? I am in the Huntington area if someone can recommend a doctor.

I see a chiropractor for the same issues. It helps A LOT! Precision Chiropractic on Jericho by 110 631-423-1969.

Just from what other people I know have experienced, it sounds a lot like a pinched nerve (which can be from a number of sources, like bulging or slipped discs, etc). I would recommend beginning with a GOOD spine specialist (doctors from HSS have some offices on Long Island, and are the gold standard in spinal care) then take it from there with hopefully chiropractic or PT. My husband suffered similarly, and was misdiagnosed like crazy until he saw the docs at HSS. The proper PT changed his life.
