Re: Need a therapist recommendation

Im sorry you are going through this. I feel the same way sometimes. But its not everyday.

I hate being home alone all the time and cant wait to go back to work so i dont have to be so lonely.

Our DDs are only 2 weeks apart and i cant wait for it to get better. If you need anything let me know.

Did the hospital give you any information when you left? You could always call the nurses desk.
I think I cried for at least a month. Hang in there. We're all here for you Chat Icon

Re: Need a therapist recommendation

Breastfeeding is VERY hard physicially and emotionally. especially when your hormones are all over the place. Do what makes YOU feel good. Your DD will be great either way. Hope you feel better soon. Chat Icon

I don't have a recommendation, but just wanted to offer some support. I cried for weeks after DD was born and I know the feeling of loneliness very well. So many of us have been there. If you ever want to vent, feel free to FM me.

I hope you are feeling better soon!

I hope you feel better. You already have done amazing w/ BF ing. Don't worry if you have to stop. It is not for everyone. I remember being really stressed and overwhelmed while doing this. Chat Icon Chat Icon

FM where you live, I may be able to make some suggestions.

Like a PP mentioned you may wnat to discuss whether this is PDD or hormones with your OB, but either way I think a therapist will be helpfulChat Icon

Re: Need a therapist recommendation

How long have you been feeling this way? It may just be baby blues too, I had that and it lasted 2 weeks.

Tomorrow DD will be five weeks old.

I talked to one of the midwives in the group I see and she went down the checklist of symptoms for PPD and she thinks that I am not so far gone (I still get enjoyment from the things I used to like) but maybe the BF'ing woes are making the baby blues prolonged.

Yup! BF made me very emotional, I would cry a lot! Your not alone.... Chat Icon

It does go away, and you will feel better, it just takes time.
