Re: Need advice about comforter size...
i also have a queen size pillowtop mattress and had the same problem about covering the boxspring. i bought a calvin klein comforter in king size and it was huge! i returned it for the queen size. the king size hung on the floor. take home the king and try it first

I agree with this. We have 2 queen sized beds, one in our room, one in the extra room. I have king sized quilts for both, since I like that they hang lower than the boxspring. One is a perfect fit, one is a little too long, but I kept it anyway. The king size could be a little too large. If it isn't, I would get the king sized one. You could just buy a fitted sheet and use the other bed in the bag stuff on a queen sized bed, no?

Re: Need advice about comforter size...
DH can be a cover hog, so we have a queen matress and a King duvet. Its not such a big deal. The only thing that sux is that the pillowcases that come with the duvet cover are always king.
Edited for sux!!! Damn LIF! Will you just let me say sux!!!!

Go for the king size. I have a king size pillowtop and I have to get California king to fit my mattress.
