Need advice for Daycare xmas gifts.... Yes or no?
Ok, I know NEXT year it will be easy since she will have been there for a good year. For now though she’s only been there since Dec 1.
So Here’s the folks I know
The Director. Nice woman (younger than you’d think). We like her and she’s been very helpful and patient with us.
The “Woman” haha I don’t want to give her name. But she’s awesome and takes care of the infant room. She’s ALWAYS there when we need her, early or late. AJ loves her already in just one week. She loves to sing to AJ and make her smile. Older woman who lives on the same street as the nursery which means she’s in our neighborhood too.
The young lady – She helps out with “The Woman” often. We’ve seen her maybe twice when we pick up AJ. She’s nice. Not much else to day, but its only been a week and a half.
Uhmm “That Lady” – we really don’t know her name. She’s Asst Director maybe? She’s always in the halls watching for visitors and opening the door for those who ring, she’s always got a nice thing to say about AJ and is quick to tell us if AJ has had a good or sicky day etc. But really she’s not in the Baby Room, she just likes to look in I think (or it’s part of her job)
I’m sure there’s others, but I’ve never met any of them.
Do I get something for the Nursery? Yes, or no?
If Yes, what????
We were thinking of Flowers for the Director’s office (but I know there may be issues since kids are around) and maybe a Simon Gift Card to the local mall (Walt Whitman) for “The Lady”
SOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooo lost.
Help!
TIA

Since you just started there on Dec1 - I wouldn't feel obligated to get anything. What about an edible arrangements or something to share with the whole staff - or bagels/donuts one morning.

I would get the main caretaker and assistant a gift card or something. Then something for everyone else that they can just put in the break room. We did donuts and bagels last year from DD. This year we'll probably do an Edible Arrangement.

How about a combo of both? An Edible Arrangement for the daycare (its pretty small) Two gift Amex Gift Cards $25 each for the Director and the main caretaker

Honestly, I would just bring in something for them to share- like cookies. She has been there such a short period of time.

In my opinion you should give something since she will be there in the future. I wouldnt go crazy maybe a $10 - $15 gift card.
