Need advice on buying a new couch - with a one year old and likely more to come...

So i am buying new couches (either two couches or a big sectional) - but with a one year old and hopefully one or more to come in the near future i am thinking practically and want something that is easy to clean? easy to keep looking good? and comfortable?

I keep hearing leather is better than fabric with kids? Is this true? Please share your experiences with your couches and your kids Chat Icon

I LOVE my microfiber couch, so far everything has come out and still looks brand new...

Me too and I have 2 dogs that shed and the hair comes off.

FYI, I bought mine at Bobs Store and got the 5 year warrenty for $99. If anything and I mean anything happens to it in that 5 years they will come and fix it. If they can't fix it, they will replace it.

I just posted about this on another board I belong too and they all suggested good leather.

we did the same thing
microfiber at bob's with the warranty...
it's a "cheap" microfiber- not as soft as others- but for the price, it's great and down the road we'll get something else

I love my microfiber. I would never get leather because I would be worried about tearing and they are too cold for me to sit onChat Icon

My microfiber, I just take off the covers and throw them in the watch. Super easy.

we have slipcovers and love them...I just throw them into washing machine, then hang dry.

we have a microfiber with a stain guarantee from Jennifer Convertibles--they already came and fixed it once from a formula stain

We have leather - it was what we had before DD came along and it has been fantastic. She was a big spitter with reflux and it was sooooo easy to clean up any mess with just a damp cloth.

It also has been great when DH has spilled iced tea or chocolate milk everywhere Chat Icon
