Need advice on what to ask doctor

So I am meeting with the doctor in a few hours to discuss our options. We have had 2 failed IUI's and don't have much insurance left.

I want this so bad. He wanted to meet to discuss the next steps.

What questions should I ask? Like, does he know why the IUI's are failing?

2 IUIs isn't really a lot. The average woman needs 3-4 to get pregnant. Remember than an IUI gives you anywhere from a 5-30% chance of conceiving, depending on a number of factors.

Where your IUIs medicated? Did you trigger? How many follies did you have? And did you do the same protocol both times?

I'm in the middle of my 2nd IUI now but if this doesn't work the dr has already told me he's going to change the protocol next month. I plan to do 3 or 4 IUIs before moving onto IVF, which isn't covered by insurance at all for us.

Where they medicated IUI's? I know for me I have had 4 failed medicated IUI's (clomid/femara) so far and the answers I get are that its the numbers game...you have a 20% chance of conceiving with a medicated cycle... Do you have IVF coverage? Are you responding well to the meds? I would ask what they recommend...for me they said IUI's w/o injectables since I do respond to clomid/femara...

Sorry I should have given more details.

We've actually had 1 cycle with just clomid and nothing. Then 2 cycles with injectibles and I was triggered and both of those failed.

Each time with the injectables I had 1 follicles measuring between 16 -18m.

Clomid doesn't work for many. For the injectables which ones how much and how long? Werew u on progesterone as well? And I know it does feel like forever but two iuis with only one follie each time is not a lot. Xoxo
