Need dinner suggestions for 1 year old!
DS will be 1 in 2 weeks; Xmas eve. i am having trouble with him eating dinner. whatever i give him first, is ALL he will eat. if i give him chicken nuggets, he wont eat any veggies, yet he wont let me feed him baby food veggies either.
i try giving him veggies first and put peas on his tray, he will eat all the peas and then wont eat anything else.
anyone else have this or have any suggestions on what else i can make him
i make meatballs (with turkey)
chicken burgers
chicken nuggets
scrambled egg

I just tried the Dr Praegers veggie burgers and DS absolutely loved them, they taste really good. Got them at Trader Joes...

make him casseroles! Or quiche etc. Mix veggie sinto his meatballs-make meatloaf with veggies etc

Why don't you try Jessica Seinfelds book about hiding veggies in foods. That way he will get a meatball with veggies in it, or whatever.

DS is similar in that once he finds the thing he likes the most thats all he eats on his plate and keeps saying "more mommy" even though he still has his meat, etc....I cant even tell you the amount of corn he ate last night.
Intead of giving him just 1 item at a time have you tried mixing it up. Then he might just grab the various items without realizing its different.
At 1 DS also loved
Veggie burgers
any kind of pasta (sometimes I make pastina in chicken broth with tiny meatballs)
homemade mac & cheese (I would also add ground chicken to it)
By 1 DS was pretty much eating whatever we ate so just keep giving him different things.

thanks
i have tried giving him different items at once, but he will pick out the things he likes. if i give him chicken nuggets and corn, he will eat all the chicken, then yell for more LOL
i will try these suggestions though, thanks so much!!!
