Need good thought re: closing date UPDATE!
We got our Clear to Close letter from the mortgage company today. Our contract stated July 15th as the closing date, but I know we have until August 15th and have heard the seller's will probably not be ready by the 15th 
PLEASE I need good thoughts that we close ASAP. I am 34 weeks pregnant with the twins and want to get the bedrooms done before they are born! 
Update: Not good! JUst found out the earliest the sellers will close is the SAME DATE as my scheduled c-section. 
I can't believe this is all happening at once. It will all work out...we are just going to have to stall on the closing date for the house we are selling now. But these sellers are so damn annoying! When they called us in May we told them August is no good to close and agreed on July 1 closing date. Then they changed in the contracts to say July 15th which was still OK, but now they said they are not really ready to close til Sept and are doing us a favor by closing n August.

I am sorry. If i remember you saying, your buyers are doing an FHA loan. That could take months. I can't believe you are dealing with the stresses of this while pregnant!!! I could hardly take it after a while. Hope that things go fast for you!!!

That closing date is August 15th.
I am talking about the house we are buying. I want to get in there ASAP so finish bedrooms b4 the babies are born. I am due August 20th but doubt I will make it to 40 weeks with twins. I don't care about the overlap with having 2 houses at once. In fact I WANT an overlap so we can take our time moving in, 
Plan is:
July 15th - get new house
Mid July-Early August - finish bedrooms in new house
Early August - Babies are born
Late August/Sept - sell our house
Hope it works out this way!

Hope this works out exactly as planned! Your plan is just what happened with us when we bought our house and then sold the condo. It was great being able to move gradually, esp. since I was 8.5 months PG too. Do you have someone to help pack up? Let me know--it's so hard being so PG and packing everything!
