Need help quick... Severe constipation in 3.5 month old.

Ugh. She hasnt gone since Sunday and today I give her a tsp of prune juice in all her daytime bottles everyday to help regulate her. Since she hasnt gone I gave her 1oz water and 1oz prune juice around 4pm. She has been pushing and struggling and barely slept today. I did the thermometer trick about a half hour ago and literally poop the size of a nickel was trying to push out her little butt hole. She barely got any of it out and now I do not know what to do. Please help.

I would try the thermometer again but with a lot of Vaseline on the tip to help with lubrication. I hope it works for your little one.

try Baby Yoga basically just bicylce the legs but she shows you more things you can do to soothe the tummy, and help push things along.

My DD was severely constipated (NEVER went without "help".) Nothing helped, no prune juice, pear juice, thermometer, nothing! The pediatrician had us give her glycerin suppositories. It comes in a tube and is non-habit forming. It just lubricates her insides to let her poop and it would work INSTANTLY! Hope she feels better.

100% pear juice.. 1 oz per bottle... When DS got like that, we had to use a glycerin suppository...

I pump her legs and basically push it out for her. It's tough to see them in so much pain. You can even give her a little maalox or mylanta. It wont make her go, but it takes away some of the gas.

Are you sure she's constipated? A only poops once a week, has been like this for the past couple of months. She never strains, seems uncomfortable etc. The first couple of weeks I was worried, but this seems to be normal for her.
