Need help with a new carpet color....
I'm trying to find a new color carpet for our living room (yes, mcl916 you've inspired me  ) Pretty much everything in the room is neutral colors, sage walls, cream couches, natural wood furniture. I'm feeling that the cream carpet just makes it TOO creamy in there. I was thinking of a dark red color.
Any suggestions??

I think a print would be nice being that you have hard woods underneath and a neutral pallette.

maybe a darker tan, I'm a neutral girl though. I personally don't care for dark carpets.
edited:
didn't realize you had hardwood under there. I would do a nice area rug with some green in it. A subtle pattern with the wood exposed on the edges.

My mom just got a cute area rug at the PB outlet in Riverhead....maybe check there for some subtle patterns...also I know that Home Depot has area rugs too. Good Luck!!

I'm a solid person, myself w/rugs. This way you can change things around without it affected the flooring.
What about a red rug to off set all the cream in the room, or a binding rug with red, cream and some green in it.

I would not change the carpet. It's neutral and good.
You can add a rug, put access color/pilows with colors pulled from the rug and use art work.
Easier way to add color to a room AND it's changeable easily (when you get tired of it) and cheaper.

I totally agree!! I'm not a fan of colored carpet.
