hi Chat Icon I am sure you are sick of me by now.

first question...is he sensitive to ALL cheese or can he have aged/hard cheeses (for instance, cheddar is naturally lactose free, at least according to Cabot creamery)?

and can he have eggs?

You are fine...I have no idea with cheese. Haven't tried it yet. And he can have eggs... He goes to the pedi on Monday. I will ask him if I can try cheese..Chat Icon

you said (in the fm) that you love italian food.

why don't you start by making a big pot of red sauce?

then cut up chicken cutlets and cook them in the sauce. you won't have to worry about them getting too tough even though you want to cook them through.

and get yourself a meat thermometer. I am always freaking out about doneness and cook time, the meat thermometer is awesome.

if he can have parmiggiano cheese, go to fairway and get some. don't use the pregrated. get the real deal and grate it yourself.

forgive my ignorance, but do pasta makers put soy in their pasta? I want to say no, but I could be wrong.

pasta with sauce and chicken. pasta with garlic, oil, and spinach or peas.

rice with beans and scrambled eggs.

tell us what he likes or what you want him to eat, and we can walk you through! Chat Icon

I can try the sauce...Sounds good...He really doesn't dislike anything because he really hasn't tried much. He can have pasta. I usually mix it with a jar of his baby food to make it taste somewhat good and not be dry.
He pushed it away last week so i stopped giving it to him. Will try again next week. He loves peas, carrots, potato's, eggs over medium, most fruits, pancakes, chicken, turkey. He hates scrambled eggs. He has a texture issue with some foods. And he has reflux....I would love for him to try anything.. He had shepards pie one day and loved it. The next time I gave it to him, he spit it out! I am open to most recipes. And all the help I can get..

There are so many food allergy websites out there with recipes!

here's a good one to get started, but all you have to do is google - i've done this a million times because DS is allergic to eggs and nuts, so I'm always looking for egg and nut free recipes.
