Need ideas for a dinner for 5 people that is easy to transport
BF's family has a house upstate that we go to a lot in the summer. We'll be travling up next weekend with 3 friends to go ice fishing. Instead of cooking while we're up there (because I'm sure we'll be very intoxicated ) I was thinking of making something a few days before and bring it up with us. Something that I can easily just pop in the oven to re-heat.
I thought about baked ziti but we just had these same friends over 2 weeks ago and made baked ziti.
Any other ideas?

What about something like pulled pork or pulled chicken? Easy to reheat - you can eat it with a fork or make sandwiches.

You can make the filling of a chicken pot pie and freeze it. Then when you get there, cook it in a pot until defrosted and warm, thow it in a pie shell (I use the pillsbury roll out ones) and bake. So easy and yummy.

You can prep enchiladas and just throw in the oven when you get there.
You can make with meat or beans or a mix of both.
Great drunk food!!

Make taco meat in advance, reheat when you get there and have all the fixings with you!

Awww, glad you liked the idea!
I've made them a few times when DH has had his "guy friends" over and they LOVE this kind of stuff.

You can make a tray of cornbread to bring as well. Something to soak up the alcohol!
