Need ideas for babymoon

DH and I are planning a sort-of babymoon. Since he's leaving for deployment only 2 weeks after the baby is born, we'll be taking a short 4 or 5 day vacation in late June.

Keep in mind, I'll be 34 weeks pregnantChat Icon We're looking for something on/near the beach, romantic, but either with a boardwalk or some kind of nightlife/activites.

We've been thinking of myrtle beach and ocean city, MD but they may be too family-centered for us. Any ideas??

Not sure how far you want to travel but Maine is beautiful, or Nantucket?

Re: Need ideas for babymoon

We went to cape cod a couple of years ago. It was beautiful. We took day trips to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket - both are a ferry ride away and way more expensive to stay than cape cod. If you just want to lay around on the beach, cape cod is beautiful, but where we were (West Yarmouth and South Yarmouth) was pretty family oriented. We didn't mind - we would rather have families than college kids.

We stayed at the windjammer hotel, which is nothing fancy but has a pool, a grill area, and is accross the street from the beach - which was most important to me Have fun!
