need ideas: Mounting a flat screen TV on the wall
does anyone have their flat screen mounted on the wall?
Where do you put the cable box, dvd player, etc....?
I want a table for underneath the tv, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for - a TV stand?
Does anyone have any pics?

I dont have a pictures. Friends of ours have this. They have the TV mounted on the wall with a TV stand (more like a piece of furniture) underneath with their cable box, xbox, dvd player, etc. If you go on the Pottery Barn website they have a ton of great ideas.

We mounted ours over the fireplace but since we redid our entire den we put all the wires in the wall and set up a stand next to the fireplace which holds our cable box and bose system. There are pictures in my album. Some people get a table that looks like a coffee table to hold all their stuff under it.

I personally didn't want all of that crap under my tv. Luckily I live in a split and the basement is behind the wall where I mounted the LCD TV. Others have hid thier equiptment in a closet.....

and in our bedroom our flat screen is mounted really high and we have a shelf under it:
I don't love that, but it's okay for the time being.

You can also hide your devices using an RF Extender. You can buy one at Best Buy and other electronic stores. The TV we have in our bedroom in the picture below has one. The devices sit on the floor beneath the dresser. Image Attachment(s):

This is my girlfriend's house. I took a pic of it because it goes PERFECTLY with the furniture in our bedroom. We plan on doing this in our bedroom soon.

We have ours mounted in the bedroom between our closets. We keep the DirectTV box in the closet in on of the cubby holes

You can't just put the live wires in the wall. The surge protector has to be outside the wall. I sugguest you get an RF remitter and move your equiptment to the top of a closet.
