Need more protein...
Since I CAN'T STAND or afford Protein drinks, I need some suggestions on what I can eat that has a lot of protein in it? Nothing fancy, I'm a plain food kind of girl! Thanks!
ETA: I don't eat ANY seafood!

inexpensive protein:
chicken, beans (peas, hummus, refried, etc), spinach, broccoli, ground beef

Peanuts with no salt on them (I like the ones that you have to shell yourself) are one of my favorites.

Premier nutrition bars. They are GOOD and loaded with 30G of protein. I get mine at Costco. 24 bars for $20.00

I'm a breakfast-for-dinner kind of person so I do this:
1/2 cup egg whites 1 slice turkey 1 1/2 slice american cheese on 2 pieces of lightly toasted whole grain bread
It's something insane like 34 grams of protein I think? It holds me for the rest of the night, sometimes I'll have a WW ice cream bar too.
Other than that, all the other options have been listed, it's just what you do with them. I am a fan of low-fat peanut butter too, tuna, beans, chicken, lentils.
