Need new OB/Gyn Rec
My current gyno is in Manhattan, but we recently moved to LI so I'd like find someone closer to home. I've been looking at 2 practices - Women 4 Women in NHP and LI Women’s Healthcare Associates in Bellmore (Bashian/Frenkel).
I guess I'm just looking for any feedback on each of the practices.
Also, as we will have another baby, any feedback on the OB part of the practice would be helpful, too. ie: wait time, early/late appts, are sonos done in the office or do you have to go elsewhere?
TIA!

I really like Bashian - if you need an early/late appointment, book it in advance. I'm at 29 weeks preggo, had my 28 week appointment last week and booked all the appointments I need for the rest of the pregnancy (at least up to my due date). She can have big wait times, last week I waited 2 1/2 hours, which is EXTREMELY rare for her, but to wait 45 minutes is pretty normal. I have always worked for doctors who had long wait times, so I'm used to it, I just bring a book or my kindle. She is a no news is good news kind of doctor, so unless there is an issue, you won't hear from her regarding the results. I find her very comforting, and laid back, which is good for me because I'm rather high strung, so she kind of balances me out.

I use Dr Bashian and have been for a few years now. I like her as well as her partner Dr Frenkel. Dr B delivered my DD via csection last year. Only issue is the wait time especially when you are towards the end of your pregnancy.

Thanks, girls! Are the u/s done in that office or do they send you to the hospital or something?
