need opinions--- day 47 and no AF
k, so im not pregnant (i dont think)....taken about 5 tests in the last week....guess im just not getting my period.... 
anyway, i spoke to my gyn, he said i can take progesterone which will bring on my period....i cant really find anything online about this, but one of my friends didnt get her period for 3 months will TTC, took this, got her period, and was pregnant the next month.....??? anyone do this? he also suggested clomid, which will regulate my cycle, but HELLO, i am not looking to have triplets!!! TIA for any info you guys have....

I have taken progesterone because of skipped periods. I was not TTC at the time (it happened twice). I took the pill and got AF a day or two later.
If you know for sure you are NOT pg, then I would say to take it, but don't take in in hopes to be pg next month. What happened to your friend doesn't guarantee it would happen to you.

Did the doctor's office do a test also? Or were they just store bought ones? I saw on CNN that some of the pregnancy tests that are imported from some China could possibly be fake, so I would probably take another one of another brand (if you didn't do a doc. one).

Also, if you drink a lot of water during the day, even your FMU can be diluted and the hormones may not show up.
My girlfriend NEVER got a positive on a HPT, she had to do a blood test, and she is now 25 weeks pg.

Happened to me for many, many months before I got PG. I just wasn't getting a period. My doc gave me Provera Rx (progesterone) and I took it for 7 days and I got my period after that. Since we were TTC'ing, I was hoping to get PG, but same as you, no period again for like 3 months, so I took Provera again. 3 months later I went back to doc because no period, and he gave me another Rx for Provera and clomid. Before I left he gave me a PG test before starting the RX's and I was PG already! It took 2x of taking Provera and then everyting since then has been normal. I just needed a jumpstart!

my cycle is screwy too- basically go pretty long as well without getting aF and that's just the way it is...
my doc didn't say I needed to take anything to bring it on.. but did say I could take BCP which I'm not doing.
