Need opinions on a favor for Baptism (mini Wedding!) edited post to add link to see item
So my DD's Baptism party is a mini wedding! There are only a few kids who will be attending. We found very pretty wine glasses in a rose color (dd's middle name is Rose) or a very pretty Vase. Everyone attending are big wine drinkers (we even told the hall to make sure glasses are always full!) But is it weird or inappropriate to give wine glasses as a Baptism favor? Again, it is all adults. My wedding was easier than this! added links to each one vase
wine glasses

Hmm...I do find it a bit odd. But if you feel it best suits your guests and you want to do that, go for it.

I agree. Maybe you're going for the blood of Christ theme?
In all seriousness, I'm a big fan of disposable favors. My mom has a glass vase sitting in her washroom collecting dust with "Pat and Barbara" and their wedding date inscribed from 1976.

My family LOVES wine and I know they would get use out of the wine glasses. I think the wine glass is alot better than other favors I have seen at Christenings.
I say go for it!

If you think people will actually use them, I would go for the wine glasses! My SIL did hand painted olive oil containers for my nieces Communion and no one thought that was weird. I say go for it. It's better than giving people a piece of crapp that no one will use.

um, that's First Communion, Barb!
seriously though, for a baptism, yes, i think it's a bit odd, JMO.
i didn't have a huge party, but a professional pic i had taken of DD in her christening gown (before hand) was framed and wrapped in clear cellophane. everyone we invited was close friends and family and they all wanted a pic of the baby, so they were a HUGE hit.

I agree ~ I would personally give something that your guests will love and since your daughter's middle name is rose and the wine glasses are a rose color sounds very pretty! Your guests will always think of your daughter's baptism when drinking from there glasses.

They are both beautiful but I prefer the bud vase. Especially if you put a rose in each one. To me, it represents your DD more than rose colored wine glasses.

Just to add another option you can do a mini wine bottle it's only like $2 and they have a rose/pink wine you could use to stick with the rose theme and you could have personalized lables made.
