Need opinions...(a little long)
My friend and I booked a cruise in July on Carnival for 1/24/08, bought our airfare and everything was great. We called to add another friend into our cabin and was told that we needed a bigger cabin and the ship was sold out, because a radio station(s) were having contests and the Motley Crew was renting out the rest of the boat. There were also a few other bands, Rat, Skid Row, etc. and they booked almost 700 cabins out of the 1000 that were available to the public.
So, we change our cruise to leave on 1/21/08 and everything is ok, but we did have to pay $50.00 each to change our airfare (we did it ourselves). One friend said I should call Carnival explain what happened and ask them since I was inconvenienced to pay for my change fee. I cant see doing that.
What would you do.

I think you should call. Worst case, you wasted a few minutes. Best case, they refund your money!

You can try, but since you were the ones who wanted to make the change I don't know it there is anything they would do. KWIM? BUT, it never hurts to ask.

I don't think they would refund your change fee since you did that separately but, it wouldn't hurt to call - maybe they could do something else for you.
