Need Plumber recommendation ASAP!!!
Toilet backed up  and caused leaking into the basement. I'm in ronkonkoma. Thanks!

We figured out why it's leaking and it's not from the toilet although that's how we found out about the leak. There's a small gap between the bathroom counter and the floor so the water that overflowed drained into that gap which went down to the basement. I'm glad it's not a plumbing issue that caused the leak, at least not directly. The leak has also stopped. Now we just have to do something about the gap where the water leaked to.
I think we still need to get a plumber though bc the toilet doesn't flush normally and it's not the first time it has backed up and the water level is unusually low. Ugh the joys of being a new homeowner.
