Need some advice....Im not sure what to do about some testing my DD has to have...
My DD went for an upper GI yesterday and the test came out normal so now the Dr wants to send her for an endoscopy......
I dont know what to do, I know she needs it so we can find out why she spits up so much and how bad her reflux actually is but would you put your 8 month old through something like that??
We are going to see the DR next week to talk to him about it but for now Im up in the air....

It all depends on how serious the problem was for my dd.. Acid reflux can cause some serious damage to the espohagus... if my doc really felt it was necessary.. i think i would.. theres no radiation exposure for endoscopy, but they may have to give dd sleeping meds.. for the gagging.. I would really have to sit down with my doc and see what proof that it was necessary. Overall i think i would if it was necessary.

my son went for 2 upper GI series...those were bad enough for me. It showed that he had borderline plyoric stenosis, and that he was having pyloric spasms....we switched him to nutramigen, and it worked wonders. Didn't completely get rid of the spitting up, but def. helped it. My dr had said to me, wait until he is mobile, it will be gone. Gravity will make everything stay where it was. And he was 100% right with my son.
