Need some help on menu for DS' 1st BDay party
I am planning on cooking most of the food (the rest DH will BBQ).
I am wondering if anyone can give some pointers/recipes/etc on how much to prepare for approx 40-50 guests (including about 15 kids)
I am looking to make Baked Ziti and chicken fingers.

ok...so u have baked ziti-and chicken fingerd then I assume hotdogs and hamburgers? what are you bbqing?
are you doing any steaks to slice?
appetizers? salad...tell me everything and I will help u

If your BBQ...hot dogs, hamburgers chicken, sausages, some type of stead are some ideas
Baked ziti or penne a la vodka is always a big hit. If you aren't doing sausages on the BBQ, maybe a tray of sausage and peppers.
If you want to do mostly BBQ, add in potato salad, macaroni salad, green salad, another type of pasta salad maybe.
